The ability to create desktop shortcuts for cloud games (without manually editing launch parameters)

Problem Description

As a Roblox developer who works on several games, almost entirely in subplaces, it is currently too cumbersome to navigate to places using the Studio Start Page. It’s sluggish and takes far too many clicks to navigate to games and sub-places that I develop on nearly daily.

Not only do I deal with the time spent waiting for the Start Page itself to load, it takes six clicks (+ time for Studio to load content after each button press) to actually access the games I develop on. This is a somewhat major annoyance when coupled with the fact that I have to restart Studio every few hours to prevent it from slowing down.

Roblox could improve the Start Page, yes, but I’d still have to go through lists of dozens of places when I really only use a few on a day-to-day basis.

My proposed solution: shortcuts

I propose Roblox adds the ability to quickly create a shortcut to a given cloud place. You are already able to do this by manually creating a shortcut with launch parameters, but I think we’d see a lot more people using them if we did not have to manually do this.

For example, here’s how I have mine set up in my Windows Start Menu. Accessible from the instant I get on my PC, one click away.

As to how you actually create these shortcuts, I would suggest either a right-click menu in the places list, or as an option in the File menu (near Download a Copy).

If Roblox is able to address this issue, it would improve my development experience by letting me bypass the Start Page entirely for games I develop on often, without editing launch parameters.
It’d also be a boon to people whom don’t even know you can create these shortcuts.

I agree that this is an issue. I always enter my main game and then open the subplace from there to do this. That’s a waste of time and bandwidth, if I don’t actually need to load the main place!
