The Alpha 2.0 (Obby Practice)

Hello everyone! I just released the SECOND Alpha version of

Obby Practice (Alpha 2.0)

In this version I add VoR (New obby), music, new floor under obbies, walls, loading GUI, 3D Tittle in Lobby and fixed some bugs.

If you want to report on bugs, or suggest minor changes, fell free to message me!

Nice work. You should make the game R6 since obbys dont really work on R15. Also maybe increase the difficulty.

Dude, this doesn’t matter, because R6 and R15 only form of your avatar. This obbies was finished by more than 100 peoples. To complete these obbies you just need skill, but your feedback is also good. I’ll try to do R6-R15 switcher in game.

From what i’m seeing, your game only had 60 visits?

I saw pretty same obbies in another games, which have a lot of visits

But that’s not ur game? You only had 60 visits, :woman_shrugging:

I kinda think it’s kinda manipulating, you’re saying it doesn’t matter with false information. Yes, it doesn’t matter but I rather you be honest.

The loading screen doesn’t cover the topbar area, you should probably enable IgnoreGuiInset.
You should probably also disable character movement during loading, as you don’t really want players wandering around blindly having no clue what they are doing.

Outside of that, the obbies are quite easy in my opinion. They didn’t pose too much of a challenge to me, even though I fell a few times. The game itself is somewhat boring and doesn’t have too much content in it.
The lighting is also quite plain, and could probably be improved to not look as plain.

I think you should add some mechanics to give it a bit more uniqueness from other Roblox obby games. Maybe a dash, or a sprint mechanic?

In my opinion, R15 doesn’t fit obby games too well. It feels a bit odd to play with an R15 character in an obby game, as the animations really don’t fit.

If you want do some mechanics, you need R15, to make better

No, you do not need R15 to implement mechanics such as a dash, or a sprint mechanic.

What you mean by dash?

My idea of it is that you press a button and you go towards the camera direction/the way the character is facing pretty quickly for a few seconds.

I agree with @VortexD3V and @guidable. In the section below, it is nearly impossible and not really fun to play with R15 as the collision with blocks is misleading. R15 is more appropriate for games where minor character movement doesn’t matter, which in this case it does - so R6 or different blocks should be used.

I also think that there is too much repetition in the obbies, It gets rather boring after the first 10 jumps or so. And adding on to this:

I think that you should use an orbiting camera (or others if appropriate) for the loading/start-up screen so that it would look more like one. Usually start-up screens cannot be moved (via right-click). Other than that I really like the game!

Uh, just image - you need last jump and you stay on really small square and accidentally press this button - you fell

That would also happen if you accidentally pressed W.

This happenned depends on your type of finishing this part - A, space, D, or - W, space, S

This obby was created to TRAIN your skill, this isn’t randomly obby with a lot of stuff. This game purposefully train your specific skill.

Yes I agree hard obbies are good, but as I said; I was not criticising it based on its difficulty but rather because it was less fun to play due to the fact that it used R15.

cough cough this isn’t fun game

and as I said I’ll do R6 switcher
