i saw Ego Moose’s tutorial countless times, sadly it uses methoods that fail with animations and make things harder, anyways thx for help
this isnt ego moose its a different tutorial
i’ll definitevely look at it, thx, any other ideas?
to be honest, from the question you asked, i’m assuming your new to scripting. viewmodels are a little harder than other things, if you really want to though, there are a bunch of tutorials
Yea only 7 years heh, i look for most optimized and not messy way, and with all resources there are it’s still hard to find something that i need, anyways thx for help
LOL, my bad bro. This is how I do them. So first I make custom tools, basically how this guy does it.
Then, I make my viewmodels, its really simple just arms and a humanoid root part. Make the root part the same size as a roblox character bc it makes it easier to understand if you want to animate. Now, jsut renderstepped loop and position the root of the viewmodel to the camera cframe, but add like -2.5 on the y or smthn, i forgot how it is exactly, but its a number ending with .5 or .0. NOW, you can attach the tools the exact same way you attack the custom tools, ITS VERRY SIMPLE. its not all extra, just another joint for the tool. Then, you play the animations on the viewmodel with a animation controller. pretty simple, and has non of the extra junk a lot of people add. you can ofcourse have some sway and stuff in the viewmodel to make it look better.
ALSO: the viewmodel im talking abt would be the same size as a roblox avatrs humanoid rioot and arms. not those long arms. the long arms DO work, but you might have to make custom aniamtion for the viewmodel, and we dont wanna do that do we?
sorry again for calliong u a noobie ive been at it for 6 years now. your question was a single sentence, js like those people who enter studio for the first time, and ask how to remake adopt me LOL
