I have the same issues at random times. If some line gets filtered, i even can’t say “hello” after it. I need to wait several minutes and it’s getting fixed.
Also additional thing is chat filtering on 17+ games: I got filter warning for saying some alcohol name on a 17+ bar game.
Yep I’ve been experiencing this too. You say one line which doesn’t seem bad, but it gets filtered and Roblox filters pretty much everything you say after that for 20+ seconds. I pray that this gets sorted out soon.
Is this going to be fixed soon?
This issue has been ongoing for a while, but over the past two weeks, it has become significantly worse. Once something gets tagged, you’re no longer able to say even simple things like “12345,” “Roblox,” or even “Hello.”
Hello, a game that I am an admin for has been experiencing this same issue for the past few months now. Phrases such as “Toronto Spawn”, “CN Tower”, and “do you like my car” are a few examples which get tagged. However, I have just tested these phrases today and while they did not filter, following up with “Oh wow” got tagged!
As others have mentioned, the filter is wildly inconsistent. A number, or a word that isn’t beyond grade 4 English may set it off and result in the next few messages being tagged.
I’m pretty sure you can literally request for certain phrases to be uncensored/censored. In here About the Bug Reports category
The issue isn’t any specific phrase being censored. It’s roblox deciding to censor literally every single message you send for minutes on end at complete random.
I’ve been having this problem in games too. One game that I play is Among Us, and when you’re trying to explain something, you just get censored for no reason. Because you are not allowed to communicate, you can’t make your statement and you might loose the round.

Can confirm, noticed this especially when copy and pasting text from a document (i.e a training guide), and more so if the pasted content uses punctuation marks.
Very frustrating, especially when an account is set to 13 or even 17+.
How does Roblox expect to get taken seriously when this is such a big issue and has been for the past year or more, yet nothing is being done or communicated to us regarding a fix
@101strive I’ve noticed it as explained above, a lot with copy and pasting into the chat with punctuation marks. When they are removed tagging is about halved.
Simple words like “assessment” also tag for “ass” I assume? If Roblox actually does use AI with attention context this shouldn’t be tagged or become an issue?
this is still an issue, heavily impacting player’s experience in my game. sometimes the chat is genuinely just full of hashtags and you literally cannot say anything
Seeing much more filtering recently as well in the past month. In most cases from a personal preceptive, it’s usually due to sending multiple messages within a very short timeframe (5 seconds or less) or copying and pasting text as @DesiredLion stated.
I also see the chat filter failing constantly and consistently, tagging absolutely everything as a safety measure for approximately 20-30 seconds before being able to send a simple message that won’t be instantly flagged/filtered by the chat filter.
The text chat is bordering on unusable. Not only do very innocuous phrases get filtered, I have recently been getting in-game warnings for messages that cannot be interpreted as breaking the rules in any way. What happened? Did Roblox migrate to a new system for text chat filtering? This is terrible.
dude, you dont know how annoying this is. i want to write some sort of sentence which is the most innocent one and i just cant, because of this chat filter. like you said, i get tags every max 10th sentence for like 5-7 typings. its this random. i swear, roblox is using ai for even chat! moderation got an overhaul with ai in around 2022. ever since it has been a downhill and i have seen so many people getting banned for absolutely the wrong reason. i dont have any hope and faith in the chat filter getting better. we might not get a fixed version, who knows! this is just chaotic.
Boosting this. We cannot go more than 1-2 messages without the hashtags starting for no reason. I am getting words like “yes” and “okay” censored for no reason and its impacting gameplay. I’ve added a screenshot of chatlogs for the game I am currently in; 90% of whats being tagged does not violate any rules and as you can see from timestamps, theyre happening back to back.
Also experiencing this, my chat messages are being filtered on mass even though none of them should be, this is still occuring after a while and has made communication near impossible through text.
Dude this update is INSANELY horrible! I CANNOT talk to anyone, I say “hi” and a server of a dozen people gets 1984’d out of existence for trying to have a conversation. At this point I’m just going to open up Steam to speak to people because this is ridiculous!
