Not so recently, like 6-7 months ago, roblox added this “awesome” topbar" to developer forum:
It can look good, can unify all Creator Hub pages and fit everyone’s needs, but it has some very bad flaws which make me angry daily. That’s the postion of droplist near my Name on it.
Like, let’s firstly ask “Why there’s even 2 profile pictures of me on the same page???”
Real, there’s no many purpoice other than “unification” and “integration” with other parts. But that’s not that big issue itself.
The dropdown list of that progile picture name obstructs 3 developer forum MAIN buttons. If you move your mouse a bit more than needed, you will be greeted with droplist:
And here starts the pain: I click mostly on “Settings” page. But thing which just RAGED ME AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE IS R̸̨̦͔̀̈́A̷̢̨̬̅Ĝ̸͎̳̯̪̒͠Ĕ̴̫͙̊͆̐Q̵̱͓̈́Ū̷̳̉̒ͅÌ̷̤͛̕ͅT̶̼̈́̓ ALSO KNOWN AS
"Log out"
. Yes, this tiny button which is hidden at the start is capable of breaking people’s devices.
“You just having muscle memory, or just too fast” - many people may say this. But let’s see then other problem:
Who In The World Opens This Page Only While Its On Top? (WITWOTPOWIOT)
I open it 50/50 in this 2 states:
That’s first one: . . . . . . . . . . .
That’s second one: . . . . . . . . . . .
Notice that when it’s scrolled down, device-breaking things just hidden. This results in enough of muscle memory to click “wanted” buttons in under 0.5 seconds.
What solution I want?
I never liked this integration, but if you did it - keep it. But with the current buttons mechanics and locations, it’s easy to missclick. So, to keep people safe from rage, make this droplist click to expand, instea of hover to expand.
This simple change will save me tons of time. Honestly.
