The Dusekkar, along with Doomsekkar, both have Fire and Smoke particles, but unfortunately there were scripts inside of each accessory that caused the particles to get disabled if they aren’t being worn by UserId 916, Matt Dusek.
This was the case for Doomsekkar (purple & green retexture) for the longest time, but sometime in 2018, this script was removed so that the particles would show up for everyone. Unfortunately, this was never fixed for The Dusekkar, meaning that its hundreds of owners don’t experience the hat like it appears on the website - with fire and smoke, which feels deceptive for anyone that received it. This would be important to fix, especially if Roblox ever plans to release The Dusekkar as a limited item.
Unless if this was intentional for The Dusekkar and not Doomsekkar when it released, I would expect for the script inside of it to be removed/disabled. If it was intentional for only Matt Dusek to have the special effects, the thumbnail of it shouldn’t include the fire/smoke, or it should be stated that the particles are ‘unlocked’ for Matt Dusek, since it was made for them.
Dusekkar was always a hat made for Matt Dusek, even thought it was made widely available. Thus, only Matt Dusek can trigger the particles. Doomsekkar and Ghosdeeri are retextures of the hat that, despite being retextures, were not specifically made as an item for Matt Dusek, thus everyone can trigger the particles. Think the Agonizingly Ugly Bucket of Doom vs its retextures
Doomsekkar having particles only for Matt Dusek was probably an oversight during the retexture. But when it comes to the Dusekkar it was intentional.
As for removing the particles on the website render, it’s probably not easily done without reworking how the backend displays particles.
Labeling a hat that hasn’t been available for anyone to own in over a decade that only it’s original inactive account owner can trigger the particles feels… insignificant.
It is possible they add the particles back, but then again Matt Dusek did alot for the site and its probable that its homage since the item was originally made for him.
I personally think accessories really shouldn’t contain scripts to begin with, and this script could easily be removed by adding the particle effects like you said. I think Roblox should do this.
