I am creating custom rigs for my game. I have come to the realization that the first bone in the armature that everything is parented to will not animate. Unfortunately, that means that it gets locked in place and any bones below it will have their animation altered. This causes almost all of the rigs to float when performing any animation. I am including an image of a rig that shows it floating instead of standing with its feet touching the ground. I am using Mixamo for the animations and importing them into Roblox. Placement of the HumanoidRootPart, RootNode, and any humanoid factors such as hip height do not fix this as I’ve re-uploaded my rigs dozens of times with new locations for these parts with no change to the animation. Am I missing something? How do I get this bone to animate? Please offer any assistance you may have. Thanks.
