The Headache game Alpha Test!

Hi

I have been working for a year on a game called Headache.
Of course, this year was not only full of development, but also my training in creating games on the Roblox platform.

The game is currently in Alpha Version.
The alpha version is a small fragment of the full game without some of the features that will be available on release.

What’s next:

  • New diverse locations
  • Big story campaign
  • Updated character model
  • Cutscenes, voice acting
  • More mechanics
  • Stealth locations

You can also help with the development. Send your feedback, bugs found and the most favorite fragments!

I’m very excited. Please let me know that I have not tried in vain

Here are a couple of screenshots:

pretty cool game, bro. is the player always gonna be a crash dummy though, or is it a placeholder?(if it’s a placeholder I’d like the option to use the crash dummy as a skin on full release !!!). being able to press enter or something to auto-select “ok” on the tutorial stuff would be cool, as I don’t really like having to hold alt just to use my cursor to press a button.

This character model is a test. Soon I will change it to this one:

(this model is still without texture)
As for the Enter key, that’s a great idea!

That is amazing I just can’t believe my eyes I can tell you have put alot of work into it how long did it take you to make.

Alright, here’s what i’m gonna tell you…

1, The Quality of the game is Extremely realistic for ROBLOX which is indeed quite pleasing.

2, The journey makes it feel like your trapped within a specific area and that blends in with the theme for sure, maybe some small adjustments on how the character reacts with animations (backwards).

3, This feels more like material for RDC games and for that, you should definitely be awarded for all the hard work you put within this game.

Lastly, the sound in the forest is just wonderful. It really makes the environment actually work which in my opinion is very useful.

So good job, great work. Keep it up! :clinking_glasses:

Hai ya👋🏽 @AirWward! Great game so far👍🏽 But, there’s always room for improvement!

The Tutorial✨:

The beginning of the tutorial is great🌟, because you listed the different keybinds for playing the game. But…

  • Idea 1: something directing you where to go would be a great addition rather than searching the entire map just to complete the tutorial.:grinning:

Ex.)

Roblox Devleoper Hub Example of Direction Beam

Link🔎: Connect the Beam (roblox.com)

  • Idea 2: use the same door you use at the beginning of the tutorial for the door when you spawn in the forest.
Screenshot of the Door at Forest Spawn

  • Idea 3: remember the idea of a tutorial is to teach players how the game works. So, as you progress through the game maybe make the tutorial more "story like":closed_book: and by that I mean more engaging.

  • Idea 4: the audio🔉 when you first join can’t be heard unless the volume is turned up to like 60+. Maybe increase the volume on the sound in studio?

Climbing🏔️:

The climbing animation🧗🏽‍♂️ looks good👍🏽, but it could use some improvements in terms of smoothness. But one easy fix to improve climbing in the game…

  • Idea 1: why is the paint on the rock ledges so invisible? During the tutorial you state that the rock ledges with white paint are climbable, but they are hard to find😔 in my opinion.

-As you can see due to the lack of light in parts of the forest you could just blow right past the climbable rock ledges without noticing. So, I suggest making the white more visible.:slightly_smiling_face:

Nature🌿:

Having the plants sway as a player walks through them was a great implication into the game!:+1:t4: But…

  • Idea 1: the map in general feels very bland though its full of plants, trees, rocks exc. All I see is green🟩, green, green, green, (example below👇🏽) well you get the point. Anyways, the map doesn’t feel very lively
Example of All the Green🌳

-Therefore, I would suggest decorating your map with different types of plants that aren’t just green!

Other:

  • Idea 1: on the animation which allows you to squeeze through walls… In my opinion the character shouldn’t be blurred as shown below👇🏽

Questions❓:

1.) Will there be devlogs? That way people interested can stay up to date with the development.

2.) Will the story mode contain many quests with an realistic adventure feel to it?

3.) Can you elaborate more on the big story campaign? (like is there a lore, etc.)

4.) Can you also elaborate more on stealth locations?

-Overall great game so far!:+1:t4:

Thank you for your reply! This is very important for this project.
And so. I will answer some of your questions.

  1. Dev logs will definitely appear with the release of the beta version
  2. There will be Side quests, though not in large numbers
  3. I can’t say much about the story company. I will only say that the game is called Headache for a reason. You, along with the main character, will have to face a real problem that… in the future… it will grow into something more :no_mouth:
  4. Stealth locations are an integral part of the game. In stealth locations there will be many monsters patrolling the area, as well as several ways to hide from them. Such as:
  • hiding in the tall grass
  • hide behind walls with ivy
some locations will have several floors, i.e. you will be able to climb a level higher and move over monsters on branches/ walls of ruins, etc.

literally like my TR inspired game idea… but with a more different twist, yours is more horror and finding way home, mines more actual archaeology and “realistic” where there will be no unrealistic beings etc.

i mean it does look good, and all that but dang lol

This clearly isn’t Roblox, it’s Unreal Engine 10 at least, do you come form the future?
But anyways, this is impressing, I don’t think phones can withstand this tho…
