The Hunt: First Edition Question - How did they done void flight?

How did Roblox create the void flight experience before the Egg Hunt launch? During the countdown, players found themselves in a void environment. I’m curious because I’m familiar with implementing flight mechanics, but I’m unsure how they pushed players away when they ventured out of bounds.

Do you have a visual example? What happened to the player? Did they just move in a single direction? Did they float back? Did they touch something and then move? Not all of us played what you are talking about…
