Hello, and welcome! This document covers the essential information about the Laurent Family and its guidelines as well as some other useful information. Remember that if you have any questions about the group’s policies, then please refer to this handbook first, then if you still have any questions, contact the Assistant Director+.
The Laurent Family are a wealthy French-American family, based in between the fifties to sixties/seventies era. The family’s origins trace back to Louis Laurent, a rich land-owner from Bordeaux, France, and Grace Anderson from East Hampton, New York. They married in 1935 and had four children, whose names were Natalie (born in 1937), Eva (born in 1939), and Avery & Vivien (born in 1940). The majority of the family’s money came from Louis, as he worked as a banker and investor. The four girls live in a family apartment as of 1962 in Trenton, New Jersey, near their parent’s home. (The apartment can be found here).
The group is made up of 11 ranks. Information about each rank is provided below:
1. Pending Approval/Background Check - This is normally the first rank that a person receives upon their acceptance into the Laurent Family. Their account will be checked against two things:
- Past history of behavior with Laurent Family members. We do not accept people who have had a poor history of behavior towards other family members, particularly if that person was suspended or exiled from the group.
- Account age. Your account must be at least two months old to join.
2. Suspended/Banned - This unfortunate rank is given to someone if they have seriously violated the Family Rules. The maximum time a person can stay in this rank is two weeks - any longer and it is considered a group exile.
3. Guests - If you pass the background check, then you will first receive this rank. A person will stay in this rank if he or she does not want to become a family member, but still want to be a part of the family.
4. Allies - This rank is only granted to people if they are joining the family and are representing another group which is allied with the family. Please note that only some allies selected by the Director of the Family are given this rank.
5. Friends - Some friends of the Director of the Family may be granted this rank upon request, but again, only handpicked amounts are eligible to receive this rank.
6. Investors - People who donate large amounts to the family will receive this rank. They will also receive extra perks such as free in-game VIP commands in all Laurent Family games and plenty of honor within the group.
7. Official Family Member - If someone would like to be officially recognized as a family member of the Laurents, then they are required to change their name (for example, ShirleyLaurent), and inform the Director of the Family. She will ask you a few questions, and if you pass, then you should be ranked up within 48 hours. Please note that if the Assistant Director+ sees you change your name to anything that is not a Laurent, you will be demoted back to Guests.
8. Trusted Family Member - If you have shown full potential to the family, and you have not received any suspensions at all, then you are eligible to be ranked up to Trusted Family Member. These are family members who have earned the trust of everyone within the group. This rank is only handpicked by the Director of the Family, so please do not ask for this rank.
9. Assistant to Ms. Eva Laurent - This person has the responsibility of keeping the Director of the Family informed about family operations and also assists her in terms of personal management. Only one person may occupy this role. Currently occupied by ZaraBalogh.
10. Assistant Director of the Family - This role has many responsibilities. The Assistant Director helps the Director in family management, as well as perform tasks and host events for the group. Again, only one person may occupy this role. Currently occupied by NatalieLaurent.
11. Director of the Family - This person manages and runs the entire family. Occupied by EvaLaurent.
- All members, regardless of rank, must follow the Roblox Community Rules. They can be viewed by clicking here.
- Everyone must be kind and respectful to one another. We are a kind and welcoming family, and everyone shall be treated equal no matter what.
- Impersonation of other group members or celebrities is not allowed. This also includes higher rank family members or ROBLOX icons.
- You must demonstrate professionalism and maturity at all times. This must be shown at a Laurent Family place or whenever representing our family. Examples of being unprofessional include the absence of grammar and not acting in an appropriate manner (e.g. trolling).
- Referencing tragic events, including 9/11, the Holocaust, school shootings and so on will never be tolerated. Doing so can offend some people and make them feel upset, so don’t do it.
- Do not advertise or ask for things on the group wall. We like to keep our group wall clean and friendly, so please do us a favor and think before you post anything.
- Racism and sexism towards anyone is never allowed! This is a sign of great disrespect towards people and is also never tolerable within ROBLOX.
- Spamming on the group wall is not allowed. Doing so may result in a suspension.
- Abuse of administrative powers in-game and in the group is strictly prohibited. You will be stripped of your powers immediately if caught. Abuse is considered, but is not limited to: Giving out free admin within Laurent Family games, using “fun” commands (such as disco, rocket, fire, smoke, etc.), repeatedly abusing the :h, :m and :sm commands, and randomly using commands on others.
- Please leave the family administrators to moderate someone. Please do not attempt to issue warnings, punishments, or simply just blurt out that someone has broken a rule. If you see someone do it, either let the family administrators deal with it or send a report (with screenshot/video) proof to the Assistant Director+.
If a member of the Laurent Family, regardless of rank, violates the rules listed above, then the following process will occur:
- If you break a minor rule (e.g. advertising), then you will receive a warning. After three warnings accumulate on your profile, then a suspension will occur.
- More serious rule violations will result in an immediate suspension. In some cases, a PM will be sent from the Director of the Family outlining the concerns. Removal of in-game/in-group perks is also likely to result.
- Repeated serious violations will result in a temporary ban from the family and it’s owned places.
- Continuing to break major rules after a suspension or temporary ban will result in a permanent ban.
The Assistant Director or Director of the Family reserve the right to skip parts of the process and/or differ punishments that are shown here.
There are also some other important notes that you need to know:
- The Laurent Family is not a donation or funding group. Please do not ask us about donations towards you or any of your groups as we will ignore you.
- We do not ally with groups unless we check their background history and information. If you want to ally your group with the Laurent Family, please send a private message to EvaLaurent.
- We are not a crime family.
- We never give away our places, games, and assets from our group, even if you are willing to pay ROBUX.
Hopefully, this handbook has covered all of the information you need to become part of the Laurent Family. If you still have any questions or suggestions, or if something was missed in this handbook, please never be afraid to send a private message to EvaLaurent. Thank you!
