Intro:
I am planning to recreate a game called “The Rake” while my remake is different in a lot of ways both graphical and story-wise. I want to get ideas on how to make a scary horror game.

What I want to achieve:
I want to create a horror game with more realistic graphics that takes place in a dark forest with an abandoned house that players have to escape by solving puzzles. (I am not very experienced in making horror games, only good at making realistic games.)
What I need:
I need feedback and ideas that’ll inspire more of the game since right now the game is in its planning face. I want as many ideas as possible both gameplay-wise and story-wise. (Some of you may get into the shout-out lists.)
