The release of Mega's Difficulty Chart Obby!

After months of development and hard work, I’ve finally released Mega’s Difficulty Chart Obby (MDCO)! I’m looking for feedback and also posting this for those who like Difficulty Chart Obbies as well. Can’t believe I’m finally releasing my first game! :relaxed:

Yes, I’m working on adjusting levels and nerfing them.

Nice game! While it’s similar to other difficulty chart obbies, I found the shortcut levels quite interesting! I got to level 167, but I’ll be returning to try to reach the end.

Edit: I finally made it to the end! Can’t wait for more levels to be released!

I like it. Not tryna brag but the obby wasn’t all that hard. Maybe it’s because I got to 147 and didn’t stay for the rest, but I’m more use to obbies being really hard at level 80 or something. Other than that, cool obby.

Very well constructed and thought trough!

Now time to see if I make it all the way through

I suggest making the obbies a bit more difficult. I can walk straight without jumping or stopping and reach up to level 9. Other than that, so far so good

Made it to level ~205

Only real “issues” are:

1- Some levels are nearly identical to Sea’s DCO. Don’t get me wrong, inspiration is fine but these are nearly identical.

2- It’s very long. Kind of got boring in the beginning.

Overall it was pretty fun, levels were fun to play.

Most of my inspiration came from SDCO (as it says in the description), I get that some levels looked relatively the same and as I go back and nerf some levels I’ll probably make adjustments to some of these levels that look almost identical and change them around a bit.

On your second point, I’m currently buffing and nerfing some levels so that there’s a balance in-between to hook players that aren’t as experienced and keep the experienced players engaged as well.

Thanks for the feedback!

I think there are too many easy difficulties. The game got boring after a bit because it was pretty easy for me. Although, I like how you put shortcuts to on the easier stages to make it go by a bit quicker.

The game is great! I literally can’t finish this. Stage 170 (Red Stage I think…)

I’m noticing some replicas of stages from other DCOs for like the entire Effortless section.

“Slightly Rigid” sounds very unnatural as a difficulty name, is English your first language? If so, which dialect do you speak? That just makes 0 sense to my Southeastern American English ears (eyes?).

Otherwise pretty fun! Though I’m only on 110…

Uhh, I wasn’t even fully committed to the game at the time those stages were made – so no I didn’t replicate nor did I have any inspiration from that difficulty. Slightly Rigid is like saying Slightly Hard, but I wanted to give it a unique phrase.

I realized that after lots of thought but it gives off the vibe of “Google Translated”, not unique. I’d recommend changing that.

For something unique, how about “Somewhat Complex”

I mean it’s your opinion, but okay. “Somewhat Complex” is okay, just longer than it should be. Maybe you just aren’t use to seeing it? :man_facepalming:

It’s not that; you’re misusing the word. “Hard” in this case shouldn’t act like “rigid” it should act like “difficult”.

It just gives off a weird feeling.

Eh, I think it’s fine how it is. Don’t think players are going to get that picky about a difficulty name.

It’s a great difficulty chart obby, you can progressively notice the change in difficulty as you progress through the obby; as you should be able to. Well done and I wish you good luck with your game!
