The Sentinel's Watch | Officer Guidelines

The Sentinel's Watch

The following are the official guidelines of being a Sentinel’s Watch officer. Any changes made will be announced.

We are the Sentinel’s Watch. Our primary objective is to unite and cause chaos in the Hydrus system and to not let anyone stand in our way.

Rules of Engagement

You may fire on random users if you’d please; however, do not fire on an entire faction fleet unless provoked. Exceptions to this rule are as follows:

  • The party/entity is a small group
  • There is an ongoing event
    • This can be our event or another faction’s event
  • The entity has been placed on KOS
  • The entity has been placed on an active event blacklist
    • Refer to the communications server on what an active event blacklist means
  • We are at war with the entity

Guidelines

  • Attacking members of the faction in a faction ship is not allowed.
  • At no point should any member express hostility for no reason towards any user. If this is found in the AC community, you will be faced with disciplinary action.
    • After all, this is a lego game; we’re all here to have fun.
  • We do not care what happens outside of AC. Other communities are meant to be separate from AC. Do not use people’s actions in said communities as an argument against them.
  • Ranked members (LR ranks) must uphold a basic standard of following the rules. If said ranked member breaks any of the faction’s rules, they will be deducted points and/or demoted to Aspirant.

Events

Cargo Strikes

An event hosted by Striker+ to attack a user’s cargo run

Points Given: 1 Point

Universe Strikes

An event hosted by a Gamma Squad member at random and by surprise. There is no ping for it and the objective of the event is to cause chaos wherever you can in universe by shooting anything you see. This is different to patrols because these are less organized and fleet formation is not required.

This event can be hosted for a maximum of 20 minutes.

Points Given: 2-3 Points

Patrol

A basic event hosted by Captain+, patrolling the entire universe server. Success or failure is determined by the ability to visit/revisit a point of interest and travel to the next. If ships are continuously destroyed before they get to a point of interest or before they travel to the next point of interest, then the patrol is considered a loss.

Essentially, when a fleet is destroyed, they MUST return to their last point of interest and be able to travel to the next. If they are able to do this all the way up to the spawn station/the host’s selected starting position, the objective is considered a success.

Patrol hosts are allowed to provide at most 2 attendees with a bonus of at most 2 points to commend good effort. Regents may be consulted for extensions beyond this.

Points Given: 5 Points

Incursion

An event hosted by Legate+ in event universe to hold 2 points of interest for the duration of the event. Event hosts are given the ability to choose Gamma Squad members to lead the fleets at these given areas and carry out the objective.

There is not necessarily a win condition to this event, but win conditions can be called out by the event host if kills/deaths were carefully noted.

Bonuses can be given out by the event host if they choose to. These bonuses are worth 2 points.
Bonuses can be given to at most 2 users at an entry rank and 2 users at an LR rank.

Points Given: 7-9 Points

Training

An event hosted by Legate+ to develop combat and other skills

Points Given: 7 Points

Workshop

An event hosted by Legate+ to develop building skills

Points Given: 7 Points

Joint Operation

An event that revolves around mock battles hosted by ACFC, joining in trainings, or assisting a close faction in battles from another faction. These events are organized by Legate+. Any event hosted will follow the point scale as if they were our own events.

Points Given: 7-12 Points

Fleet Battle

An event that is organized by a Regent and an opposing faction. This event is only during a war. Success or failure is determined by the ability to exhaust a faction’s fleet resources and eliminate all remaining ships while still keeping ours.

Points Given: 15 Points

Event Rules

Event hosts have full control over whether or not you gain full points from events. They also have full authorization to bring up consequences with a Legate+. Ensure that you follow their orders and these guidelines and no issues will arise.

Hosting Rules

These rules are for any event host creating a faction event. Regents are exempt from these rules.

  • Events must not be closer than 1 hour apart from the end of one event to the start of another
    • Cargo escorts and attack responses do not have to follow this rule

Allowed Events Scheduled at Once
Captain - 3 Events
Legate - 5 Events

Allowed Time in Advance for an Event
Captain - 1 Week
Legate - 2 Weeks

Regents may be consulted to request access to bypass these hosting rules.
