The reason the troll/spam posts get so much traction is because people make the mistake of replying to the topic.
It’ll get taken down eventually. That’s what matters.

Another way is to simply mute the topic and flag it so the whole #development-discussion doesbt get muted, simply go, flag it, and mute it, and yes I understood that errror too

This is just what happens when the floodgates are opened for masses of unvetted children to join the forum. Not everybody here is interested in development and low quality posts are rarely moderated properly. Every day this place becomes more akin to an attention-seeking platform like Reddit.
I don’t use the forum anymore for this reason. It’s no longer a useful investment of my time and I don’t think Roblox cares enough to improve moderation or the forum as a whole considering every complaint like this seems to fall on deaf ears.

It is undeniable that the forum has lots of room for improvement.
I have not quit the forum because the trolls haven’t reached the other categories like #help-and-feedback. Yet at least.

developer discussion is generally a hotzone for trolls 
just dont ask about that one topic on 1/29/2023, mods took WAY too long to close that topic

It would be a pain and suffer to moderate the entire Forum with only 20+ people…
