By the way, Sober gives you the option to automatically download the Roblox app’s APKs. Not sure if that wasn’t a feature back then, but it would be inconvenient for users to manually update their installation every time.
Does protonGE add performance buffs for studio?
I don’t think so. If I’m not mistaken, the reason it is used is because of some issues with the default Wine (when running Studio).
Is the performance difference between this, a windows VM, and running directly on windows known or recorded? And are there any visual or functional quirks / issues with this solution?
its obviously not as good as the windows app, VMs are just kinda bad for gaming altogether, and Sober doesn’t have any overhead so you’re just running the android client basically, though there are some performance limits
