By the way, Sober gives you the option to automatically download the Roblox app’s APKs. Not sure if that wasn’t a feature back then, but it would be inconvenient for users to manually update their installation every time.
Does protonGE add performance buffs for studio?
I don’t think so. If I’m not mistaken, the reason it is used is because of some issues with the default Wine (when running Studio).

Is the performance difference between this, a windows VM, and running directly on windows known or recorded? And are there any visual or functional quirks / issues with this solution?
its obviously not as good as the windows app, VMs are just kinda bad for gaming altogether, and Sober doesn’t have any overhead so you’re just running the android client basically, though there are some performance limits

Getting used to Roblox Studio with Vinegar but trying to navigate through the directories (to import meshes for example) is confusing. Like I’ll have an FBX file saved and can’t find it in my documents folder or I can’t really tell if I’m looking in the right place since some directories appear to be missing. any tips on that?
Bro u HAVE to put your fbx file in the vinegar folder, its not there automatically and can the folder found in ur user directory (just goto home in your distro’s file manager and search for it, u might need to enable show hidden files) i havent used studio in a while so it might be outdated, ill try to help you as soon as i can then.

Edit: actually one more thing, Whenever I press play and my avatar is supposed to load ingame, its invisible and it looks like I’m being flinged around the map

turn off the splash screen in the config file and it should fix your issue
bro why would you willingly post this theyre gonna patch it now 
they aren’t patching this method, the reason why the original method was patched was because of exploiters using wine to bypass the anticheat, it’s currently impossible to cheat using sober
Have you tried changing the settings?
I think it was an issue with the save file/place I was using, not vinegar itself. Tried a new file and it worked. This is probably ending up off-topic so thank you for the help and good luck everyone on this thread

Hello i am new to linux and i currently using virtual machine to try installing roblox on linux majaro and i got question
How do i even launch sober. I instaled all files and i actually dont know how to launch sober.
As i know it is enough to just write name of program in terminal to launch it. linux will automaticly find it but when i trying this terminal prints that sober comand is not found

Bro did u download it? Goto software store and download sober. Also its recommended (by me) to use something friendly like ubuntu. If you just type in an apps name it wont work, you have to tell system where is it.
