The updated Studio Camera beta feature refuses to cooperate when playtesting and switching to server view

ISSUE: When enabling the “New studio camera controls” Beta feature, playtesting and then switching to server view, I am no longer able to move my camera around with my cursor. Additionally, when pressing the A or D keys, the camera turns left or right instead of moving left or right.

This started happening yesterday (02 / 05 / 2025).

TROUBLESHOOTING ATTEMPTS:

  • I have tried closing and reopening Roblox Studio
  • I have uninstalled and reinstalled Roblox Studio
  • I have disabled any plugins I may have used

SPECS:

  • CPU: Intel(R) Core™ i5-5300U CPU @ 2.30GHz
  • Memory: 8.0 GB DDR3
  • GPU: Intel(R) HD Graphics 5500

This is my first bug report, I don’t exactly know what’s necessary…

Hello,

I got the same problem here, but for those who want a temporary solution, for now you can go to the workspace Camera and make sure the CameraType is set to “Custom” and not “Fixed”. This helped me when trying to move the camera on the server view.
