Pretty good, but you can add some more terrain like points like there is more details but for the most, It’s great!
I would add something on the bottom of it and top. Here are some suggestions:
- Trees, stumps, larger rocks, mushrooms, flowers, etc. (Top)
- Crystals, fish, small reefs, etc. (Bottom)
Good for your first terrain, but not to be rude or anything, It doesn’t look like you did much when making this terrain, all you did was make a hill and some water with nice lighting.
You could try and add more stuff and decorations to make it look nicer.
Well that’s how effort looks in your eyes then, because it took me almost an hour to make this, and I didn’t just add hills and water with nice lighting, I made a large lake, but if I put it in the picture it would not look good. So I decided to give a good angle in the picture. But whatever floats your boat, any advice to make it look like I didn’t just add things?
Thank you for telling my the things that can be on top, unfortunately, I can’t make the mushrooms and rocks and trees yet because I’m learning to be good at 3D modeling right now, so it’s just grass and water and a mountain for now
What do you mean terrain like points? Can you put some examples please, I’m new to this and I don’t know the terms haha!
Oh, my bad then. Sorry man
30 charss
It’s alright, I forgive you, your opinion matters, I was just telling you I made it all myself
Do you know how to make realistic trees? I don’t know how and I really want to throw some trees in there
Open up blender, create a single vertices, apply the skin modifier, go back into edit mode, extrude that vertices up and create branches. Apply the subdivision modifier to make it smoother. To make some parts thicker use control-a im pretty sure to scale a vertex. Apply everything once you like your tree, shade smooth, texture it if you’d like. Go into edit mode and delete unnecessary loops. Heres a tutorial I found that does something like what I said https://youtu.be/SYPgdncM0Co
Here is a better but outdated one https://youtu.be/8GKes2FYy0E
For leaves you can just place decals on invisible parts and place them around the tree
Thank you so much! Totally needed this!
I use Roblox Studio for my building, Blender isn’t really something I focus on. I have learnt to create trees, but it depends how much detail and what style you would prefer. For me, I start with the trunk and slowly make my way to the branches. Once I get my ideal shape of a tree, I will again think about what type of tree and style I am going for. In this case, I usually build low-poly so I would place one part and then slowly duplicate, smooth, and adjust to my likings. Once I have my ideal shape, I will begin adding maybe 2-3 of the leaves to my branches, also rotating, moving, and scaling to my likings.
Do you know how to make realistic trees? Like the ones that be in the showcases.
Well the lighting looks amazing! As for the terrain, its a little simple, maybe add some small rocks or flowers?
What about this?
This is the updated terrain, I took advice from others and came up with this. I still don’t know how to make realistic trees but once someone tell me tips on how to make it or lend a video to me, I’ll gladly update!
There actually is a way to get thin long parts and then adding realistic images of leaves, it’s normally used in showcases and makes it feel more realistic, you can also use different lighting to give it a better feel.
Alright, so make a thin transparent part or something and make a tree bark decal then a thin part thats transparent and add a decal of leaves to it? Is that how? Idk lol
Yeah, that’s how I’ve normally done it before to make trees look more realistic.
Holly Cow! That looks amazing, great job!
Where did you find the tree bark to make the tree? I know it’s not just a texture
