Just send a watermark piece of the work until the customer pays you. Donā€™t send hate on this guy, you donā€™t know if he scams people, just wait until he get flagged if your worried about it. Secondly, heā€™'s doing these for 50R$, which is not a lot for a logo.

That would be a cool idea but I donā€™t think you should do it as the commissioner might want to see the full logo before they pay. I would just add a watermark and once they have paid remove the watermark and send it to them.

Watermarks can be easily photoshopped out.
They might think Iā€™m scamming because I donā€™t put many examples on my dev forums post.

What you could do is pixelate half of the logo so it is unusable but they can still see roughly what it looks like before they have paid and then once they have paid you could send the unpixelated version.

What if they are actually trying to scam me but once they see they canā€™t use the logo, theyā€™ll end up blocking me and not paying for the logo?

That happens a lot, it is unfortunate however you canā€™t really do much about that.

Payment first solves that part but not the part where people who arenā€™t actually trying to scam you not believe you.

My friend suggested 50% down payment, but thatā€™s kind of the same as payment first.

Just because he might not scam some people doesnā€™t mean he might not scam others.

If you donā€™t want to order from THIS type of a concern, you donā€™t have to - if heā€™s able to find other commissioners that will take the ā€˜riskā€™ and get their products while the person holds a devforum portfolio I donā€™t see the problem. He is in power [as the service] and I appreciate the steps he is taking. Just because you are worried doesnā€™t mean he has to change it for you, as heā€™s able to get many others that do trust him because he wants to keep his own time and effort making logos safe knowing he will get fairly paid on his own standards.

Also, my point stands, if he scams anybody his credibility will get flagged instantly and people wonā€™t order from him.

I know that and I never said I wanted him to. Iā€™m just trying to help him.

From a commisionerā€™s POV, I can tell why you think Iā€™m scamming.

Itā€™s because of my payment first terms of service.
And to put more salt on the wound, I only have 3 logo examples on this dev forums post. not on twitter tho.

Iā€™m sorry but a lot of these ā€˜critiquesā€™ towards him are SO condescending and doesnā€™t need to happen, donā€™t nitpick and be appreciative, just WAIT until he gets other orders done.

Also, my point stands, if he scams anybody his credibility will get flagged instantly and people wonā€™t order from him.

what if i delete this post and make a new one with a new commissions sheet?

Yes I would do that since people turned a payment concern into a patronizing mess and now the wall is littered

Also do you do refunds for people who are not satisfied with your logo? [if they donā€™t like the final product, and donā€™t have it yet] I would recommend doing that since 100% payment first is a requirement

If people arenā€™t satisfied with the logo, iā€™d cry- I mean I will ask them what is the problem and will try my best to fix it. iā€™ve never really had people who arenā€™t satisfied with their logos so much they wanted a refund so i dont know

and yes now people will actually think im a scammer and now i have lost many commission opportunities :frowning:

Your prices are insanely cheap, itā€™s not a gamble to order from you. After you get more commissions shown on your portfolio, I would recommend showing more examples as people said during the times you get things done with your current commissioners :grinning:

I have made 5 commissions so far, and I have 4 to make. I mainly show my commissions on twitter so you people should check it out

@BuzzyBlox

I would also put Twitter on part of your portfolio then so people can look there to see more examples. I think you have so much potential with a lot of commissioners already, so once again, good luck!

If there are already 7 people who are respecting your terms of service in your portfolio, you are the service and you are in power and itā€™s working for you; do not be discouraged by the small amount of people who found it necessary to air the concern of ā€˜scammingā€™ when many people behind the chat are already ordering from you.

This post is filled with messages saying I scam (which I donā€™t, they are just mad because I made my commissions PAYMENT FIRST.) so Iā€™m making a new one.
