Thoughts on a method of pre-release advertising

Hello! I have a game releasing soon, entitled Middle Eastern Driving Simulator (a first-person car shooter), and the game is getting close to being finished. During playtests, players expressed great fun in using the weapons and utilities in a brick-battle type gamemode.

If I were to polish the gunplay and the features relating to Deathmatch, could I publish the “death match” variant of the game a couple months prior to release, and would advertising this game net me any success in profits or large community growth? I know the market fo randomized free for all brick battling is saturated, so would it be a waste of time/money? Thank you for any advice.

Advertising takes a big part in a games success, advertise on any social media platform such as “Tiktok” and “Youtube” and you have a chance of instant success

Hello. I was more specifically inquiring about the general idea of releasing a separate branch of the game with only PVP combat in a form similar to that of other randomizer games. If I were to advertise solely on Roblox, would it be a waste of time to compile this “preview” of the game, or is there a good chance of this “preview”, although generic, to garner me attention/hype for the main release?

This would be a waste of time and money. Use free platforms such as YouTube Shorts.

Thank you for your insight. I will look into social media advertising as an alternative

Thank you! We were worried the name would be misleading, as most people enter “simulator” games expecting a repetitive idle grinding game. Acronym of MEDS provides some very creative logo ideas though
