Thoughts on environment based build

I am looking for criticism so I know what to improve on my build for a random environment so I can make it better and overall improve my terrain building skills.(I have no idea what I will use environments like this for.) Please don’t go crazy about the trees(and grass) on me, I am still working on getting better with blender so I used some trees I found in the learning sources category.

This is my first time using terrain as I mostly script so I really need to improve. :smiley:
EDIT: Lowered Sun ray intensity a bit. Also please take note that the area around the middle is where a player would be standing and that they would not actually be seeing it from the top. They would also not be able to leave the little mud circle.

The lighting is way to bright, I can even see the pictures clearly, could you please lower that then edit this post? You also need to add more pictures, a eagle view would be nice… you showed us only trees.

Sunrays too intense, can you tune it down?

I can’t see anything without having to strain my eyes on the screenshots.

Yeah I’ll fix that and then post some new pictures.

Is the grass model created by you? Also, is it a mesh?

My bad the grass is from the same thing as the trees, but yes it is a mesh.

From what I can see, it looks pretty good. The grass as well as the trees look very realistic and well detailed.

The use of terrain is very nice too!

I feel like the environment seems very messy and the lighting is very bright. I suggest adding more variety of plant life instead of just trees and grass, you could even add some type of animal life.

It is decent, even for a scripter! I like the realistic trees!
