Thoughts on GUI-based idle game mechanics

Hello! I would like to create a GUI-based idle game. The question I have is how deep I should make the mechanics. Should I make a simple gameplay loop similar to those found in button simulators, or should I create more complex systems similar to something like Antimatter Dimensions or The Prestige Tree? Thanks for any replies!

I don’t really find many Gui-based idle clickers on Roblox, which is an advantage for you since it’s unique. I would recommend taking inspiration from an infamous game we all know: Cookie Clicker.
