Tell me how it makes you feel and I will address them and consider them in next update.
Dude, I like this game honestly. However, there are a few things that makes me feel a bit discourage to play the game further:
- Ai of the troops are a bit quacky.
- The giant keeps on falling and glitch to the ground.
- Without tutorial I was left not understanding what is going on. EG. I don’t know what troops counter what troops.
- I would love to know the stats of the troops and health display on the head but there’s nothing in the game that indicates that.
I really like this game though like remind me of my time playing Clash Royale but without pay to win .
Great game. Reminds me of a game way back in the day that focused on throwing hordes of NPCs at the other team.
But of course there are things to improve.
-
AI sometimes walk off into the hills and don’t target the nearest enemy
-
Giants have difficulty fighting due to stepping on and tripping over smaller enemies
-
Game is pretty intuitive. 4 minutes or so and I got the gist of how to play.
-
Feels like the computer always has more morale than I do.
-
Could do with a better way to read the battle, like healthbars over friendly units and banners to see how many of those fighting are mine.
-
Archers just dominate the battlefield, which I’m not complaining about. In large numbers, they can take on most things.
-
It’d be nice to have more control over where my units move.
-
I’m going to need more reports on this to understand the issue.
-
I fixed the giants tripping now.
-
Yes the game is pretty intuitive im happy!
-
It feels that way because the computer counters your troops. The computer deploys combinations of troops whereas you deploy single troop which u can also deploy variety as well.
-
I’ve thought about it but i dont want to clutter my game with UI
-
I’ve introduced a few troops to handle the archers, try adding zombies with assassins.
-
I just added that feature! you can select troops and move them around.
this is one of my favorite games. i’ve played it since release. however, here are the problems I find:
- why: why does the spawning work by making you click on something and then after 30 seconds the troops spawn? it’s pretty weird. I understand this could be your way of making it more unique or something but to others it just seems like bad and weird game design and it’s not that hard to script troop summoning buttons that waste currency.
- morale: the morale thing is broken. it would say “cost: 7 morale” but when I equip it only wastes 2.
- never get to the enemies: since the spawning is weird, you can’t save up to then spawn dozens of npcs. you have to keep waiting and waiting very slowly. I played a game for 10 minutes and got nowhere for this same reason. you would equip every type of unit but ultimately nothing will matter since the enemy will just send stronger units and at the end they just pile up in the middle and never advance. this is why games like battle cats are possible, but in this game it’s almost impossible because you can’t spam them. add a troop limit and a different spawning system to solve this issue.
those are the issues i found. i hope my wording was understandable since this text was rushed. anyways, good job, i know you can do it!!
