A while back, I made a 3D model of a Trent 900 Turbine in Blender. It had almost the same shape and everything, but there was a huge problem: Due to Shade Smooth’s effect on rough edges, the shading did not work out pretty well and I ended up with a huge mess. Therefore, I had to import some of the parts in Shade Flat.
Just recently, I had found out that I could apply an Edge Split modification to the model. And as of now, the Trent 900 Turbine is looking far better with far smoother edges.
What is the Rolls Royce Trent 900 Turbine?
The Rolls Royce Trent 900 Turbine is a special Turbine built exclusively for the Airbus A380-800 Aircraft. Google some images and you will see that almost every A380 is equipped with Trent 900 Turbines. (If I remember correctly, there is a second additional type of Turbine the Aircraft sometimes uses.)
