Thoughts on SAIGA 12 3D MODEL

So i made this saiga in 2 days each one working 2 or 3 hours per day so i wanted to know your thougts on it, all of it made with the objective of realism while keeping the optimization or not going in full detail with interior parts “So faking it all”

I have also been using a new technique to bevel the edges most of the gun doesnt go above 12k triangles.

Looks really cool although I don’t recommend uploading it to Roblox since it may get you banned for the realism of it. From what I remember, realistic weaponry is banned.

Do you have a reference for that? I’ve never heard of that rule.

@Krunnie That seems like a bit of a grey area, I’ve seen numerous games which contain realistic weaponry, such as Unit 1968: Vietnam, Counter Blox and Phantom Forces.

Nice model by the way.

He’s talking about in the ROBLOX community rules on 1 → 10 where it says

  • Instructions for engaging in violent activities, including bomb- or weapon-making

I’m pretty sure having realistic weaponry isn’t breaking of any TOS.

Looks incredible! Can’t tell, but it almost looks like some of the screws in the first and second image have back faces that aren’t needed, as well as on the barrel piece + piece above it and some pieces on the stock. You won’t see them once it’s assembled. Could totally be wrong since I’m not familiar with blender or your intended use, but I usually would get rid of those for optimizing just a tiny bit more! :yum:

But really, great job!!

I believe that rule only applied to Roblox way before they even considered being an actual game development platform, and I believe it applied specifically to uploading actual images of guns.

After a bit of research I came across this topic which cleared my confusion, post number four specifically.

Really true! i wouldnt really worry about it for blocks, but when it comes to circles its pretty useful to remove them.

I have seem to forgot to do that.
