I’m currently working on a game that has movement similar to the movement in Titanfall 2 (wallrunning, sliding and air movement) that is fully replicated to the server.
There is also a double jump and directional dash that can be used for extra movement.
Are there any improvements you guys would suggest?
I think you would like S4 League’s Movement and Parkour system - its really fun to mess around with (just learned that the game is now shutdown as of April. )
Wow, this looks amazing. I think the mechanics have been replicated quite well. The arm animations do look quite broken though, so I’d suggest to fix that. Otherwise, great job, keep it up.
Everything would be pretty cool, as it would allow more creativity to be implement by the players, however it is entirely up to you and the game you are creating.
My original plan was to only allow players to use highlighted walls but that could limit the freedom people have in movement, which would impact the flow of the game. I might add a mode where the highlighted wall rule remains, or just scrap it all together.
Have you heard of a game called Karlson? It is basically just a level-based parkour movement shooter and the premise of the game looks similar to the project you’re working on. Add more obstacles and possibly projectiles and you will have a masterpiece of Roblox gaming. I know this is quite an ambitious project and will require a lot of time, but I can without a doubt see this lifting off.
Yes, I have heard of Karlson. I downloaded one of the early versions, and enjoyed the fast gameplay. It actually inspired some of the features that will be in this game.
AMAZING! If you could make a grappling hook like titanfall’s , I’ll put my money wherever you want. This could be such a good game, in current roblox’s standards
