Creating randomly generating cactus. There’s about 500 cactus in a 2048 by 2048 stud area.
Also does the cactus fit in?

It looks pretty good I think maybe around 350 - 400 cacti would be a better number to operate with since they seem to be a little grouped together.

i think you need smaller cacti that live around the base of the big cacti - i think thats kinda how it works in nature

Google “image cactus in desert”.
You’ll see that the number of cacti is about right, but for that type of growth there is enough water for plenty of other hardy plants.

Not sure if this helps (depending on the scene you are going for) but grass also tends to grow in tiny clumps near cacti, as they can leak water and nutrients into the soil if they get injured.

I think there are enough cacti in the desert, you should add different stuff like dried-up bushes or desert trees.

Yeah I was gonna say, the amount of cacti look good, but it looks bland without bushes, rocks and other types of desert stuff

I think adding a variety of small and large cacti and different types of cacti, also I would suggest the prickly pear cactus just a suggestion.
