Too Many Sounds Playing Causes The Sound To Distort

Hi! I’ve been making a rhythm game based around fighting. Whenever a player gets punched, a punching sound is duplicated and played. Once it is finished playing, it is destroyed.

The issue is whenever the punching sound plays, Roblox tries and lowers the volume of all other sounds playing. Since there are quite a few audios playing at once, it glitches out and the sound becomes loud and distorted.

I’ve tried searching for anyone else experiencing this issue, but I haven’t found anything. Nor have I seen this occur in any other games I’ve played.

I’ve tried browsing the properties of the sound class to see if there might be anything I can enable or disable to fix this. So far it seems it’s just a Roblox feature that I can’t control. If anyone knows how to solve this, let me know!

this is probably because you set the volume property very high, try reducing it

Put a compressor on it. That should do the trick.

It makes sure the loud parts isn’t too loud and the quite parts are not too quite.

btw this is sick, when will it release? or is it released?

CompressorSoundEffect? This is already released…

where can i find it then? (im late right?)

Just go to insert object and search compressor, then insert the compressor sound effect.
