It’s supposed to shoot out of the barrel from its spawn point (AKA where it goes when you drag it to the workspace) Everything is welded correctly but it’s still there idk.
Well, it’s not really there. If you try this in replicatedstorage the area where the respective model is will be highlited. So don’t worry it’s not actually there and it wont affect the server
What? I have no idea what you’re trying to say??
Meaning, the game displays where the tool would be if it actually was in the workspace
Well, that’s not my question I ask how to make it so it does not originate from there
Do you mean that firing the gun doesn’t originate from there?
What @DevLazl is saying is that is the location of the tool where it is stored in the StarterPack, not where the tool is in the player’s Backpack.
Don’t highlight that weld in the StarterPack service.
Click on your Avatar in the Explorer window (NOT the one in the Players service), then select the tool in your Avatar’s backpack. It’ll highlight the tool in your hand when it’s Enabled.
Are you getting the position of the tool before or after the tool gets activated?
I’ve been getting it before. Its local btw
I understand but that’s not my question i want it so the laser effect doesn’t come from the workspaces version of my tool.
Ah, ok, the picture was deceiving because the second picture shows what looks like the laser coming from close to the gun in your hand.
Since this is a scripting problem you need to post your script.
I’m guessing your script is referencing the gun in the StarterPack.
It needs to reference the tool in the player backpack.
Ok will do once i’m done with school.
