I’m getting this long error every time I open a studio instance or start a test in studio:
What version of Roblox Studio are you running? (Check in File → About)
This is the error that would be expected if you’re still on version 440. Upgrading to 441 should fix it.
That seemed to work. I just wish there were a better way to upgrade to the newest version of studio when restarting doesn’t work. It’s annoying to have to go through AppData and guess at which files I need to delete in order to re-install and get the latest version (hoping I don’t delete the files that I do need)
This is probably an issue arising from the fact that you’re running a Bookmarked RobloxStudioBeta.exe, rather than running RobloxStudioBetaLauncher.exe. If you run the latter, it should always successfully update and launch the most recent version when launching studio.
I always run whatever app gets added to the Start Menu, pin that to the taskbar, and then delete the desktop shortcut
Usually I get regular studio updates, but sometimes I miss minor updates; would doing this not give me the launcher?
Can you provide the following information?
Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ROBLOX Corporation\Environments\roblox-studio
Computer\HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WOW6432Node\ROBLOX Corporation\Environments\roblox-studio
And is this failing to update when all existing instances of Studio are closed, or are one or more still open? The task manager may reveal there is a hidden instance opened.
