I am trying to use toolbox to grab audios for my game, but anytime i try to do something other than the home page, it completely freezes - I can click other tabs in toolbox such as recents, my models, but the toolbox itself just freezes.
I’m currently having this issue as well. Resetting studio doesn’t help, and I haven’t found a solution to this problem yet. I hope they will fix it soon.
Does this only happen when opening the Audio section of the Toolbox, or do other categories (Models, Images, Plugins, etc.) freeze as well? If it’s only the Audio section, it could point to a Studio-side bug rather than an issue with your installation.
Since this topic was posted a few weeks ago, I was also wondering if the issue has been resolved on your end. If it has, it would be great if you could let us know what fixed it, as it could help anyone else who runs into the same problem in the future. If the issue is still happening, any additional details—such as whether it occurs in a new place file or on a different device—could help narrow down the cause.
Looking forward to your update. Hopefully we can figure out what’s causing it!
I’m having the same issue. This is still happening to me as of today, and I’ve also been experiencing it relatively consistently for the past few weeks.
I’ve found that it is avoidable by decreasing the Toolbox’s size, such as by docking the Asset Manager in the same container. In order to search for audio in Studio, I have to make the Toolbox large enough to be able to click on the audio tab, and then very quickly extend something to cover most of it… lol. Hope this helps anyhow.
Hi, actually now this issue is happening to me as well. However, the web browser Creator Store (https://create.roblox.com/store) works perfectly. The Toolbox is typically used for importing models directly into Roblox Studio, but you can also do this through your browser. Just find the model you like on the web Creator Store, click Get Model, and then go back to your Roblox Studio Toolbox. Click the four cubes (Inventory icon) to import it from there. Please note this workaround only works if your inventory tab is functioning properly. I hope Roblox resolves this bug soon. It is excellent that you discovered how to get the toolbox functioning properly again.
