Toolbox search filtering is egregious

When searching in the toolbox, tons of very innocuous words get filtered that make it really annoying to use. Such words as:

  • horn
  • puzzle
  • crack
  • parachute (audio search only??)

I understand the need to filter words in player experiences, but as a developer I want to able to find resources for my experience without being forced to constantly find synonyms just to get what I’m looking for.

The fact that such innocuous words get filtered may be an indication of issues with the filtering model.

I definitely think it’s odd that searches are filtered at all. Searches should not be filtered as they are client sided, the results should be as they are server sided.

I believe they are filtered for the same reason searches for games are filtered: It’s another line of defense to prevent rule-breaking content. Even if it still exists, it becomes harder to find (although I do think it is overactive in cases like this)

Additionally, I disliked how it tagged my search when I tried searching for names of song artists a couple of weeks ago.

Truly a unique experience to any other platform. I would appreciate it if the filtering didn’t exist or at least didn’t filter the toolbox’s own recommendations, ie:

A suggestion:

The output is filtered:

This behavior is a terrible experience and restricts majority of the open source content I would be interested in, and results in me using google to find any products on Roblox.

its obvious why crack is filtered gng

It really isn’t. we could be talking about a cracked effect like a cracked wall or floor. The word “Crack” isn’t exclusive to drugs.

Plus I typed in horn and it worked fine but putting it in as “horn” tagged it… Why? I don’t know.
