As you can see the limbs are connected to the torso, as they should be. But does anyone know a way to move/rotate the torso, without making it move the whole model? (e.g. useful for an idle breathing animation)
Although I don’t have a definite fix, using blender is much more better for creating better animations: Here is a tutorial on how to do it
use the default Roblox tools. Just go to the home tab, click one of the roblox default tools and move it.
That doesn’t fix it in animations
The best way I personally go about this is by rigging the humanoidroot to the PELVIS instead of the CHEST.
Generally speaking, though, you’re going to have one part that moves the entire model, it’s the root.
Animation can be tough because of this, you just need to pretend like it’s a GI joe doll - move the chest forward slightly and then move EVERYTHING ELSE to the position it was originally.
Might I recommend the BLENDER ANIMATION plugin? It might take a quick tutorial to get used to blender animating but it’s worth it in the long run.
I made a lowertorso for my custom model and this worked! Thanks a lot
