But where is the voice transmitted?
Also, is it push to talk? Otherwise it might not be allowed because of the TOS
The voice is transmitted on a separate website, like discord, but a self made one

You said you could kind of Self Host this yourself. So, the data is not collected by Discord. That was what I was trying to say.

To be honest with you, Roblox should hire you to have you develop voice chat.
Again, remarkable!
Making your own voice chat is much better than scanning your ID to use real Roblox voice chat.

This is amazing, but I am guessing you need to run a website for this, correct? (since it’s written in javascript)

Yeah I’m running a website, so it’s easier for everyone. When I started I thought an app would have been cooler, but yeah not everybody wants to download an app, so I chose the website option

Yep, but be aware that your game will be banned almost instantly when Roblox discovers
they just wanna ruin everyone’s fun
Something similar was made to this a while ago, a voice chat website for a specific game (the game provided each server a random code, and the website would just let everyone join into a vc for whatever code was provided)
However that game was quickly banned off Roblox, despite there being zero links to any offsite activity and there being nothing rule breaking in the game (the only sign it had any linking to anything was the code in the server, that’s it)
It’s a nice proof of concept though, especially with the proximity based stuff. I hope this, or something like it, is what the voice chat update ends up being!
I dont think they will, as I said, the roblox server only makes a post request with everyone positions.
If they do they really just want to ruin everyone’s fun
