Users are accepting trades, claiming their account was hacked and the trade was unauthorized, then getting one side of the trade rolled back within hours, including on normal trades.
The difference in RAP or Total Value doesn’t play a part. Upon the completion of a rollback, the person that submitted the rollback gets to keep the items they originally received in the trade, while the person affected gets their stuff taken away and nothing in return.
Example: Person A trades Item1 for Person B’s Item2. If Person1 requests a rollback, they would have Item1 restored to their account, but they would also keep Item2, while Person B would have all their items taken away.
Expected behavior
The rollback system should only be used for actual unauthorised trades. If a rollback is completed, it should function similarly to a trade revert, where both sides get their items back. To avoid any potential mistakes, permanent bans/terminations shouldn’t be issued, as it is quite obvious that the system doesn’t always function as expected.
