Traditional Chinese localization gets replaced with simplified chinese

Currently if you select Traditional Chinese as language in the roblox client settings, you’ll be seeing Simplified Chinese translations instead. At least if the game supports both these languages.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Join Car Crushers 2: 🚨 New Sounds Car Crushers 2 - Physics Simulation - Roblox
  2. Select Traditional Chinese in the roblox language settings
  3. Simplified Chinese will appear instead (According to our translator)

Car Crushers 2 has localization for both of these languages. But the translations appear the exact no matter if you select traditional or simplified chinese, even though they should be different according to the localization portal. This is how the 2 languages are set up:

We’ve filed a ticket into our internal database for this issue, and will come back as soon as we have updates!

Thanks for flagging!

This could have to do with how the chinese government censors it’s citizens, and simplified chinese is easier to censor than complex (traditional) chinese.

But it would be nice if you could fix this cause it’s affecting my game really badly.
