Hey everyone! Thank you for your patience. This update introduces various highly-requested balance changes and a few quality of life changes. Stay tuned for more!

Buffs

  • SMG Damage increased from 5.5 to 7
  • Sideswipe Scatterblasters Damage increased from 7.5 to 8.5
  • Dino Scattergun Damage increased from 12 to 15
  • Jetfire Axe Projectile Speed increased from 200 to 400
  • Thundercracker Crossbow Projectile Speed increased from 200 to 400

– Characters who used SMGs like Sideswipe, Laserbeak, RotF Megatron, and 07 Megatron were struggling in the game. The SMG damage increase hopefully helps these characters become more viable to keep up with the rest of the characters.
– Jetfire and Thundercracker’s weapons are capable of one-shotting if landed correctly, but they were always hard to use because of how slow the projectiles moved. These changes help the weapons feel better to play with without making them too easy to use.


Nerfs

  • Universal
    – Splash Damage decreased from 160% to 130%
    – Splash Radius decreased from 150% to 125%
  • Jetfire Axe Damage decreased from 70 to 60
  • Thundercracker Crossbow Damage decreased from 75 to 60
  • AoE Lockdown Shoulder Rockets
    – Ammo decreased from 24 to 20
    – Pellets per Shot decreased from 3 to 2
    – Splash Damage decreased from 5 to 4
    – Splash Radius decreased from 25 to 23
  • Motormaster Acid Blaster
    – Pellets per Shot decreased from 6 to 4
    – Splash Damage decreased from 10 to 8
    – Splash Radius decreased from 25 to 23
  • Flamethrower Shot Delay increased from 0.2 to 0.3
  • Backstab window lowered from 63 to 30 degrees
  • Self Damage
    – Range lowered from 67% to 33% of splash radius
    – Splash curve recalculated (Now does 0% damage at edge of radius)
    – Lowered from 100% to 75% of splash damage

– Splash damage continues to be a difficult area of the game to balance, hence the universal changes to make them less frustrating to play against. Motormaster and AoE Lockdown especially have been difficult for players to deal with. The goal is to not nerf them to the ground, but rather to dial them back a bit so that they do not dominate but are still fun to play.
– Self damage became a much larger issue after the last patch. These changes make self damage much less punishing, but they still remain to encourage players to fight longer distance battles with explosives and to discourage firing them aimlessly.


Quality of Life Changes

  • Press N to toggle weapon scrolling
  • Added Reload Button for Mobile (wow finally, right?)

Fixes

  • Fixed miscolorations on some alternate colors
  • Fixed bug that caused the jump button to be highlighted for mobile players
  • Changed Jetwing Optimus’s portrait image so that he isn’t defying the laws of physics, even though that’s normally okay
