Translating a float value into angles

I am looking to translate a value (0-1) into an angle, 1 being direct center, .9 being either left or right of center, 0 being as far left or right as possible within my hitbox.
Left or right presumably I do not need help with, I’d like to focus on a way to do this on one side, then just randomly choose which side of the center to aim to.
If it helps any understanding, this is for an american football field goal, 1 being the center, 0 being as far right as possible.

Can you just multiply it by the maximum angle then?
