Transparency On Mesh Creating Wierd Effects

  • What am I attempting to achieve?

I am trying to make a plastic container for a certain product, I want to make it a bit transparent for visual purposes.

  • What is the issue?

When I add value to the transparency property, even 0.05, it will create a wierd shadow on the model as seen below:

  • What solutions have you tried so far?

I have little to no idea of what is causing this or how can I fix it so I am open to any suggestions/possible solutions.

I don’t see anything about a shadow. Can you please describe what exactly is wrong with the mesh?

Hmm, maybe try adding the “smooth” shader on Blender to the object and try.

In the right behind side of the mesh, there is somewhat of a shadow thatis hiding part of the right side of the model from certain perspectives

I will add it, will update on what is the result

This was the result, unfortunatly, the smooth change didnt made much

Is there a reason the object needs interior geometry? There’s almost always work-arounds for when a “transparent” container needs to open (if that’s the requirement) with textures or other tricks - you just have to explain to us what the purpose of the asset is first.

And if the object never opens, don’t bother with the interior geometry at all.

Is the mesh was made in Blender, probably the faces inside the bottle are inverted, so when you make it transparent what you see inside the bottle is not what you modeled.
