Transparent Meshpart - Black Outline [Transparency set to 0.1]

Hello,

I am trying fix an issue that is occuring when setting the transparency of my meshpart to 0.1. As you can see in the attached image, the right ear on the Goblin has the transparency set to 0.1 on the meshpart (vs set to 0 on the left ear). I am confused as to why the black outline is occurring around the ear once the transparency is set to 0.1.

Context: It is a PNG texture – using blockbench and exporting using the new .gLTF studio beta feature.

Would appreciate any potential insights, I tried using the PixelFix program – however the issue is still persisting.

There is no image . . .
Did you forget to attach it?

Ya sorry about that – just fixed haha.

From what I can see I have no idea.
I dont know much about this stuff but I hope someone helps you!
Also thats an epic model!

You should totally send me pictures of models like these(CAUSE THERE SO COOL NGL)

Good luck!

Does your transparent PNG have slight black edges?
Try zooming into the PNG fiel image to see. If so then remove them.

I tried two different versions but confirmed that isn’t the case.

I also ran the image through this website – referenced alongside PixelFix on some forum posts, but the result is the same website: Online Javascript Editor (js.do)

So you mean this section of the image?
I’m looking at a blown up view and it seems to have darker pixels around the outer edges of it. Notice the top RH transparent corner of your first picture corresponds with the top right white area of the blown up view.

I’d recommend trying to erase those light gray pixels to see how that works for you.
