"Transparent" Renders coming out with a black background

Hello, I’m currently having an issue with rendering GFXs in Blender. This has been going on for a few months now and if you have any solutions please mention them!

  1. What do you want to achieve? I would like to make transparent renders in Blender

  2. What is the issue? Whenever I render a transparent film image, it always comes out with a black background.

I’m not very good with blender so I’m not sure what I’m talking about but I experienced this same issue, it had to do with exporting with RGBA. Try switching to RGB. Also make sure you’re exporting as PNG

Go to film and enable transparency

Awesome looking render so far!

Yes that is what I have been doing, but it still comes out with a black background. also thx for the compliment

I just tried what I described, and I got this!
DevForum doesn’t seem to like transparent images, but the background is transparent!

How are you saving the image? Personally I press Save as when the Blender Render window opens and the render finishes.

What image format are you using? I personally use PNG.

I don’t use blender. I don’t know how to use it. But my best bet would be to make the background green and just edit it out post production.

its the opposite, RGBA has the alpha which is the transparency, so if you’re using RGB for output settings, you should have RGBA selected instead
