Tricks for fixing corner lighting bug inside buildings

I am not a builder at all, but I’m trying my hand at it. I’m creating an abandoned police station and so far I think it looks good on the outside!

However once you go inside, there is bright light in the corners of the walls, mostly on the ceiling.

What are some tricks for preventing this?

With my personal experience there’s no way to completely remove such, however, you can try playing with the Ambience and Outdoor Ambience in Lighting by making it a lighter grey tone which should reduce that sharp white light effect on the edges. You can also reduce the brightness or change the time of day.

The lazy method I normally employ Is just adding a wedge to cover it up, otherwise I try to increase the wall or roof thickness and it can remove it.

Ok so, best way to do this changing the direction of light in the Light settings in studio, and also can change into shadow map for a more realistic feel to the place.

It is shadow map, but I will try changing the light direction.

Did you union the roof? Unions usually glitch light like that, try surface lights on the roof if you want a quick fix and or change the ambient lighting to not black but a more grey or a color.

No it’s not a union, this is a common bug with lighting due to lighting being voxel. In areas with thin walls and ceiling, the voxel lighting will assume it’s just empty space and let some light through.

I’ll try changing the ambient.
