Reproduction Steps:
- Navigate to an avatar item in the catalog. For example, this item.
- Make sure you are in 2D and not 3D view.
- Click “try it on.” It may not give you an image of you and the item.
- Take the item off. Try it on again. Repeat the process.
Does it occur all the time: This does not happen with every avatar item and I can’t find a pattern as to when it occurs and when it doesn’t. Sometimes an item will load perfectly normally, and other times it can take upwards of 8 taking on and off of an item to get it to work properly.
3D and 2D views: If a preview successfully loaded, then the image will not error again. This only happens with the 2D preview. Switching it to the 3D preview does not solve the problem, they seem to act independently of each other.
Refresh/image itself: It seems as if once an item has “loaded” refreshing will make it load every time. A refresh doesn’t seem to effect whether it starts loading or not. Right clicking on the image and opening it in a new tab gets me the following message:
I believe that this is a server error.
- User agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/87.0.4280.141 Safari/537.36
- Platform Type: PC
- Device Type: Computer
Expected Behavior:
I expect to wear the item upon my first try.
Actual Behavior:
No image pops up at all. You get the message “You, trying the asset on.” There is a symbol of a broken image.
Workaround:
I do not have a workaround.
