I’m trying to get it where staff have a different colored bubble chat then normal people, but it wont work, and i’ve changed the script about 5 times after looking at the devfourm, and i couldn’t find anything on youtube

you are setting the variable chatcolor or backgroundchat as a color3 rather than setting the value of chatcolor or backgroundchat.
I also must point out that you are using the > sign backwards, right now your minimumrank is a maximum rank
