STORMS AND TORNADOES

Extensive Storm Overhaul

  • Storms now have more diverse and realistic structure
  • LP / HP storms are now visually different with varying rain intensities
  • Rainwrap visually buffed
  • LCLs now dictate higher or lower storm bases
  • Rain curtains fade as you approach them
  • Lightning GFX and SFX overhaul
  • Flanking lines
  • Recoded lightning module; having more diverse shapes and colors

Tornado Overhaul

  • Tornadoes now behave more unpredictably
  • Tornadoes can now undergo rapid intensification periods
  • Tornadoes now change shape and windfield and diversify throughout their life
  • Multivortex returns
  • Tornadoes/Supercells can now recycle from the same parent mesocyclone
  • Wedges are now more prominent
  • Stronger tornadoes now rotate faster (visually)

Damage Rework

  • Damage now behaves significantly smoother
  • Cars now have varying thresholds for being lofted
  • Cars can now be dragged into tornadoes
  • Tornadoes can now knock power grids out; causing citywide blackouts
  • Powerflashes are now larger / brighter randomly, can flicker, or instantly grow and disappear
  • Reworked ground scouring
  • Poles now bend instead of only snapping
  • Damage now regenerates after 1 ½ in-game days

Effects

  • Added inflow particles on ground going into tornado
  • Added different rain intensities
  • Rain curtains now shroud visibility
  • Less intense rain in larger hail cores
  • Lower precipitation amount depending on HP / LP
  • More dynamic roar from tornadoes
  • Hail now have varying shapes
  • New intercept vehicle debris impact sound

RADAR

Radar Overhaul

  • TVS icon colors now inaccurate unless DOW is present
  • Hail size now slightly inaccurate unless DOW is present
  • Hail location slightly inaccurate unless DOW is present
  • Larger hail can now cause purple and white DBZ levels
  • Debris balls now show purple and white DBZ levels if there is extensive damage
  • New polygon module to accommodate new WarnGen system
  • Hooks now dynamically scale with tornado width

Radar Interface

  • Added icon legend
  • Added search bar for highlight player
  • Added shelter icons to radar
  • Hovering over tracks now show funnels max width and the tracks length
  • Hovering over damage assessment markers will show information

NWS Functionality

  • Added NWS Access gamepass (expensive but worth it, trust)
  • Added WarnGen system allowing players to issue warnings
  • Added ability for NWS employees to rate tornado damage
  • Unique outfits

Emergency Alert System (EAS)

  • Added fully dynamic Emergency Alert System
  • Over 90 different audio clips used to generate custom warnings from WarnGen texts
  • Added weather radio to vehicles for EAS

  • Vehicle lights now properly placed and lit
  • Recoded locking system, added ability to whitelist players
  • Vehicles now instantly stop upon exiting
