TWISTED [BETA] VERSION 1.20 CHANGELOG
The end of an era, the beginning of so much more. Twisted 1.20 is here, and it’s changed everything.
COMPLETE MAP REBUILD
- Refurbished or rebuilt every structure in-game
- Discontinued several old structures
- Created 39 new structures
- Repopulated entire map from scratch with the new or refurbished structures
- New power poles
- New traffic lights and assemblies
- New and improved road signs with over 100 different variants
- Significant terrain buff, more natural hills, trees, and areas of brush
- Rebuilt trees, added more variations including birch
- Fixed scale, objects are now more proportionate to reality
- Improved lighting mechanics in structures and exterior lighting fixtures
- Added basements to several house models
- Added new public shelter model
- Extensive road improvements and bug fixes
- Added several new roads, including a major route, County Road 61
- Widened State Route 2 to 4 lanes for its entirety
- Adjusted city populations to more realistic numbers
- Added unique stores and shops, advertisements, signs, etc.
- Added residential / private docks on area lakes
- Increased size of Hazelton considerably
- Improved Hazelton Hills subdivision
- Added new Hazelton Lakes subdivision
- Increased size of Viroqua considerably
- Viroqua is now the county seat of Cherokee County

STORMS AND TORNADOES
- Complete storm and tornado rework (Goodbye stagnant meshes!)
- New dynamic tornado system
- Realistic tornado wind field logic
- Reworked lightning, added flickering and beading
- Reworked storm structure, added RFD cuts, shelf clouds, and more
- Added dynamic RFD winds and straight line winds
- Added new client effects (see visual effects below)
VISUAL EFFECTS
- Added wind visual effects (trees swaying, traffic lights swaying, etc)
- Added new rain and hail effects, now different levels of rain and hail intensity
- Added new powerflashes
- Reworked hail and hail bouncing
DAMAGE
- Added 6 new NWS damage indicators (MAM, ACT, MHDW, SSC, IB, WHB)
- Added 3 new custom damage indicators (SLO, SGB, CPIS)
- Added several new damage contextuals
- New dynamic anchoring mechanisms (nails, bolts, washers, rebar, etc.)
- New debarking mechanics, added different stages of partial debarking
- Extensive optimization to damage physics
- Added ability for some structures to roll or be thrown (mobile homes)
- Added ability for unanchored structures to slide off foundation
- New car damage physics (dragging, rolling, lofting)
- New player damage physics (dragging, lofting)
RADAR AND NWS
- Completely reworked radar
- Radar is now pixelated and represents true accurate values
- Added base velocity
- Added 2 radar sites, KHZL (NWS Hazelton) and THIB (Hibbing Airport)
- Added noise and less accurate values further from radar sites (deadzones!)
- Added ability to switch between radar sites
- Added landscape background to radar
- Fixed issues with incorrect/outdated route markers
- Pressing I or O will now zoom in or out on radar (trackpad support)
- New NWS basement
- Added public shelter and conference room to NWS basement
- NWS info board now works
- Increased polygon sizes
- Fixed EAS/Warning bugs

VEHICLES
- Added new Dominator 3 model

- Different gas stations now have randomized and different prices

- Vehicles now require specific fuel (i.e can’t put diesel in a civic)
- Premium fuel performs better than regular
- Chassis improvements (chassis rebuild coming in 1.21)
- Improved braking mechanics
- Reworked car spawning
PROBES
- Probes now display health
- Probes now show in truck beds
PLAYER
- Added toggle for head turning / first person character viewing
- Added notification if infinite fuel is disabled
- Infinite fuel automatically enables if bought in game
- Name tags and chat bubbles will now go away if in cinematic mode
- Clicking player names on player list now opens a menu
LOBBY AND TWISTED LITE
- Added lobby system where you can join friends or specific servers
- Option in lobby to select LITE game mode
- Added Twisted LITE, more optimized for low-end devices
- Data transfers between both games
MISCELLANEOUS
- New dynamic time system
- Sunrise / Sunset is now more accurate to reality in a Minnesota June
- Made flashlights brighter
- Reworked town beacon / spawn system
- Buffed darkness at night
