Two handed vr items - Making them more fluent

I’ve got a two handed physics system working okay-ish, but the object in question is a little rigid.
My method for two-handed-ness involves disabling the align positions/orientations of my hands and essentially creating a new, invisible hand.
But right now it’s rigid and stuff. How can I fix this?
