Two rigs mirror eachother

image

I am making a graphic of all the dominus empyreus owners, and I duplicated the rig as someone told me to (SoftyGB it was) and when I textured one, they both textured? I then said “it’s probably just a glitch” so I retextured one and they both turned the same texture again.

Any help is appreciated.

I don’t understand what you are asking? Do you want them to have different textures?

Yes that is what my goal is, sorry for not putting that in there!

Duplicate objects textures and materials WILL mirror.
I don’t know how to stop it.

Its not a glitch.

While exporting the rig, the plugin I assume you’re using automatically exports the texture. However, if there is another image in the folder it is saving the rig to with the same name, it will override it. Rename the current texture to something different, and trying reexporting the other rig.

He uses PaintRigV3.
Which HAS no textures before you add them.

Oh I guess I misunderstand the question then.

From experience I’m pretty sure it is as simple as pressing the 12 on the side, if that doesnt work press the X next to the 12 then it should be fixed and if that doesnt work use the rig duplicate method and if this keeps happening you must have accidentally saved a gfx onto the rig file.
Hope this helps

When you duplicate an object you are duplicating all of its data . This includes of course its material. So when you change one meshes material then the other mesh is referencing from the same material. In your case your material is called “Texture.”

To solve your issue it is as easy as duplicating the material and applying a new image to it.

Change the image

You can call the new material Texture 2 or whatever suits your need. Then select the head of the second rig and change its material to Texture 2.

Hope this explains the issue better and helps you
