So recently I was at my cousin and we made a little model inside of blender, we wanted to import it inside of Roblox on my cousin’s account. But no matter what we tried, it would not import and say an error message inside the output. When we tried importing it on my account though, it DID work.
There is no point in making it 13+ to import meshes, it might be a bug. But because I’m just a member I can not actually make a bug report. If it is a bug then it would be nice to get it fixed, a lot of younger developers will probably get confused because they can’t import their mesh inside of roblox studio. I am not 100% sure if this has to do because of the pathway to the file, but I did try putting the obj and fbx file inside a folder and outside.
Again, this is not the right category! But I can’t post inside the bug reports category and I had to tell this somehow.
And I did read all the posts about mesh import errors, I tried all of them and this is different (And don’t forget that I could import it on my own account.)
The errors:
When u bulk import with asset manager, it will retry uploading for ever and eventually give up. When u try uploading a mesh with a MeshPart it says this:
Unable to publish MeshPart: .UnableToPublisho - Studio
Error while creating named asset: Could not upload MeshPart
I don’t know either, when I try importing it on accounts under the age of 13 I can’t import but on my own account I can. The under the age of 13 accounts are older than 2 weeks because I have experimented with this problem before. The whole point of this post though is that I can’t import meshes on accounts under the age of 13 and that is a problem.
I just tried this on 3 different under 13 accounts, it worked on all three. Including my brothers account from 2014 which is under 13. I’m fairly certain this is just a bug on your end, because it would make absolutely zero sense to not allow -13 to import meshes.
