UGC avatar validation does not accurately see the size of body parts

Originally a feature request, but I feel like a majority of it could be along the lines of a bug as well.
https://devforum.roblox.com/t/ugc-avatar-bundle-validation-should-detect-loose-geometry/3274653

Currently, creators are able to bypass UGC avatar bundle validations in Studio, breaking avatar guidelines. This can lead to the spread of avatar bundles that are not standardized for experiences (e.g. quadruped/non-bipedal avatars, inaccurate hitboxes, obscurity, unintentional behavior).

Expected behavior

The advanced avatar auto-setup is able to solve this so that the validation is able to detect the actual size of the body parts rather than relying on their bounding box size. Bounding box size does not accurately portray the actual size of the body part. I feel like this could be used for manual setup and validation as well.

If everything was working correctly, the size of body parts would follow the range as presented in the avatar guidelines.

Thanks for bringing this up. We do have a fix in the works for this (but it is not ready at this moment)

Wanted to add some bundles that (I think, correct me if I’m wrong) are abusing this vulnerability:

Again, don’t know much about the tech here myself so do correct me if I’m wrong, but they’ve been brought up a lot recently in glitched UGC Discord servers

what kinds of polygons? like cubes or just vertecies? and how small?

okay i found out how small and what kinds of polygons you put but what polygon is assigned to what part of the body?
