UGC Program: Expanding Creation and Monetization with Avatar Bodies and Heads

That is actually awful with how they do that, just allow us to report the whole thing.

The avatar that is in the images has an extremely tiny head and it’s even worse in R6, shown below.

TOS states it can’t have proportions as such.

The fact that this user has uploaded multiple avatars with glitchy parts says a lot about how this is handled at the moment.

i don’t expect roblox to do anything about this, in all honesty, and if it is against TOS then i honestly expect that section of the TOS to be removed any day now. it’s been a pretty big rumor that roblox is phasing out r6 and removing it slowly but surely, and all the avatar changes lately really show that.

i’ll say it again, justice for r6. even if it is “redudant” nowadays in favour of r15, i personally dislike how r15’s default body looks and dislike working with 15 body parts instead of 6. i find 6 easier to work with and better looking in a lot of cases, but roblox doesn’t seem to care about the minority of r6 users because… metaverse.

if you ask me though, if it was at all possible, i’d love to see an updated default blocky r15 rig with some sort of mixture between r6 and r15, with no visible joints and it’s all smooth and perfectly connected, if that makes sense. kinda like r6 now, but the arms and legs can bend. i know its been done before but i can’t remember what it was called or who made it. either way, i think a rig like that would bridge the gap between r6 and r15 wonderfully and allow roblox to actually phase out r6 properly without losing almost all of its original charm in the process.

Someone posted a rig like that to the Catalog yesterday. It’s called Classic Blocky, but the Torso had to be censored due to TOS.

that’s definitely close to what i imagined and saw, although it lacks the “smoothness” of r6’s rig, and the joints aren’t connected perfectly from what i can tell ( which i think is probably a limitation with avatars ), so it looks a bit strange to me in certain angles / poses. i believe the rig i saw was made using skinned meshes back when those were newly added?

either way, it’s certainly close, so i’m excited to see what other blocky bodies will come from ugc, even if ugc bodies got off to a rough start.

None of the new Roblox Bundles work with R6 games. Which is making me not want to make a UGC Bundle until that’s fixed lol. When is S15 coming out?

I don’t think it’s gonna get fixed anytime soon, sadly.
S15 is already on the Catalog as ‘Classic Blocky’

Well dang. I have another question, I’m not sure if you’ll know the answer but, do you think they’ll accept Roblox UGC body with 2 bodies basically attached to each other? I am basically making a piggy back ride UGC body, but I’m afraid to make it and it get rejected after hard work lol

As long as it follows the basic rules of R15 it’s probably fine.

Okay, so I had this wrong, even though the game owner does get more than you, you don’t get less than you would if they purchased from the Avatar Store. Roblox gives part of their 70% commission to the game owner where the sale occurs. You get 30% either way:

Its crazy , If sold in the marketplace roblox gets 70% Absolutely ridiculous as if roblox doesn’t already take your robux when trading and selling

Yeah I’m surprised more top UGC creators don’t have their own store ‘games’. Maybe they do, idk how you’d find them though, maybe in the item descriptions. That popular avatar creator game has to be making a killing.(for creating nothing). Well they created their GUI I guess.

God even thinking about it is crazy , games like catalogue heaven must be making a fortune! and they can be made in days…

honestly i think by the time 2030 rolls around we won’t have r6, r15, or even rthro anymore. itll all just be hyper-realistic humans in hyper-realistic “games”. good thing im out as soon as they remove r6, i aint sticking around if they decide to ruin my current avatar lol

personally I disagree with you, roblox shouldn’t try to kill R6. R15 in my honest opinion is disgusting and weird looking. but you do you, and i respect your opinion on the matter

  • Bodies and heads must be sold separately from clothing, accessories, and other decorations for now. This means components like beards, glasses, makeup, and tattoos should not be baked into the body or head.

I understand not having accessories, but clothing?
Almost all of roblox’s old packages had clothing or armor or whatever on their avatars, and the packages I’ve been making, and have had prepared all have clothing. Their proportions aren’t close enough to any existing roblox package for me to just remake the packages as dynamic clothing, and it would take way too long to just completely scrap avatars to make entirely new characters and remake the clothes as dynamic clothes.
For reference, here are the two packages I made in preparation that are now entirely unable to be uploaded because of this rule. The overseer related one is somewhat close to the Robloxian 2.0 package, but the mage is just entirely unable to be uploaded

UGC creators are creating invisible bodies…

They banned those. Is there any proof?

If you think my avatar looks disgusting then you are bizarre.

I do agree that R15 has its issues, such as misplaced bones or awkward seams, but I wouldn’t call it ‘disgusting’.
